Debbie, Owen the Dog, and Myself rode the Warm Springs trail in the Boise National Forest. The start of the trail after I did the shuttle part of the ride with my road bike.
The first part of the trail along dead man creek were steep
This was some sweet singletrack
very windy
Debbie off in the distance
Some of the switchbacks were pretty rought and loose
We worked our way down Deadmans Creek, some parts of the trail were wet and the stream crossings cold
great views all along the trail
looking back up dead mans creek
The trail mellowed out as we turned into the Warm Springs drainage
Debbie does one of the quick climbs along the descent
Looking at the scenery along Warm Springs Creek
We came to a number of big washouts where the trail just disappeared
The meadows were along the edge of the creek
Owen enjoying the trail
Debbie descending a fun and twisty section
Debbie in the meadow along the creek
Owen taking a break in the creek to cool off and drink up
cold enought
The drainage changed to become steep and rocky on the sides
...
...
Then the trail gains a lot of elevation to make it over the steep rocky cliffs
The views were great
looking out towards the finish of the ride
more veiws
Owen chilling in the shade while he waits for the slow people
4 legs always makes it to the top of the hill faster
The singletrack cuts across green hillsides
right before the final descent we enjoyed the veiws across the valley
Debbie on the final descent
You can just barely see the airstrip where the trail ends
Debbie going across the large meadows near the air strip
